I currently offer two titles:
Never Enough Time is an alternate history that incorporates iterative realities as a product of time travel. Set in World War II Nazi Germany, a young woman from 1965 Pennsylvania finds herself center stage in the development of a Nazi wonder weapon. Ultimately, she discovers that she has the potential to change history and we climatically learn that her history is not what we assumed and the changes she makes bring an unexpected result.
Sunday Morning at Cafe Noir is a woman’s stream of consciousness who speaks her own truth for anyone willing to listen. She has not lived an easy life. She has been a victim of domestic violence, and as she peels back the layers of her trauma, she is confronted with circumstances that reveal what she is truly capable of.
I currently offer 112 selections with 32 original compositions and 30 primers available for Band, Jazz Combo, Jazz Ensemble, and Choir with the majority of titles for Jazz Ensemble. PDF versions are offered to school ensembles for free. The Winter Concert titles are all public domain arrangements and not just another jazzy version of a holiday classic. Don’t let the titles get in your way, I purposely used foreign word titles to add another educational dimension to my offerings. My music link is organized by ensemble and then by genre and includes grade, description, ranges, and solos. Titles that include a Primer include a link to that Primer. When you click on a title you will find a title description, style, grade, time signature, key signature, tempo, and recording time. You can either listen to an MP3 midi recording or watch a video of the score as it plays. I am a retired music educator with over 40 years of experience in a variety of educational settings including 28 years as a high school band and jazz ensemble director. I wrote and arranged for both traditional and non-traditional ensembles throughout my career. Over the years I also envisioned a better way to address the curriculum challenges for music educators. Having both personally experienced and witnessed the struggle that newer music educators often encounter when seeking to structure their curriculum through effective scaffolding, I developed my Primer concept for my own compositions and arrangements. It is my hope that these Primers will alleviate some of the stress of preparing multiple works for a concert cycle, as well as provide a foundation upon which educators can build their own unique teaching system.
